Although few people know that they have been producing snacks since 1889, and that it is a family business, and in 2019, after over 45 years of managing the company, in At the age of 72, Lorenz Bahlsen hands over the company to his son Moritz, the fourth generation in the family.

Modernization

he
modernization of lighting in the Lorenz Bahlsen warehouse included the dismantling of existing lighting fixtures and the delivery of new fixtures and their installation. We also moved the cable trays and added new cabling along with the elements needed for installation.
In order to illuminate the aisles between the high-bay racks, Globus Lighting provided very efficient linear luminaires from the GL-BELUS-PRO series with a lens ensuring a narrow distribution of the light flux. To illuminate the packaging area, GL-BELUS-02 luminaires were used, controlled in the 1-10V system by a light intensity sensor. To ensure optimal regulation of lighting intensity, this area was divided into 3 zones, with 1 sensor for each zone. This solution allowed for separate control of each area - which was necessary due to the fact that each zone receives a different amount of daylight.
A few words about the LED fixtures we used
T he BELUS LED luminaire, or more specifically BELUS-01, are lamps available in two versions: Standard and PRO. Currently, we also use more efficient LED modules, both for the Standard and PRO versions. The lumen range is from 2260 lumens to 13040 lumens for the Standard version (we also have 5 length options here), and the PRO version is from 10406 lumens to 14959 lumens. Additionally, the luminaires can be ordered in a different color temperature or CRI/Ra.
T he BELUS-02 multi-beam fixture is the bigger brother of BELUS-01, but it was designed to be a more energy-saving and economical solution than metal halide fixtures, which is reflected in the electricity demand. Our luminaire, BELUS-02, consisting of two beams is a great replacement for 250W metal halide luminaires, and our luminaire consisting of three beams is an equivalent of 400W metal halide luminaires. I will also add that we also have a Standard and PRO version.
